It seems like there is constantly something I find with interior design that I really enjoy. It never gets old to me, it’s great. This last week in school we visited a company called Mountain Land Design. It was my first time to their showroom and I loved it! I never realized that picking out hardware for a residential or commercial project would be so cool. I can’t believe all the choices that are out there! From a handle for a cupboard to the spout for a faucet there is something for everyone’s taste. Tile, Stone, and Granite OH MY!

In school at the BC (LDS Business College) I have worked on a lot of projects and created A LOT of colorboards. While doing these colorboards I have discovered that one of my favorite parts is picking out finishes for the flooring, countertops and backsplashes. And while searching for the perfect fit I have visited quite a few showrooms. Along the way I have discovered that I think tile, stone and granite are REALLY COOL. I have found myself wondering what the products are made of and I have even chatted with a friend’s brother who laid tile for 7 years. I am sure he was wondering why I care about how to lay tile so much. I discovered I am pretty passionate about it. I just need more time to learn more about it all. I really enjoyed Contempo Tile’s showroom out by the SLC airport. As far as vendors go I really like Walker Zanger. Furniture in Salt Lake City

The past 18 months while I’ve been in school I have been in my own world of “fake” projects where I can find any piece of furniture I want on the internet. While actually shopping for real furniture I discovered we are lacking good furniture shopping in Salt Lake. Either that or what I was looking for was just too hard to find. Here is a list of places I visited the past three weeks. I hope I can add more to my list as I continue to shop and please leave a comment if I am leaving out any great place. WHITE IS HOT!

I am falling in love with white furniture. I really like white furniture that is upholstered with some really fun fabric and bright colors. I was even more excited about my love for white and bold colors when I saw this video with Nate Berkus. I am not sure what has sparked my interest in white furniture but I am definitely a fan … for now.
